Vice President

Melinda is the Vice President/Executive Director of the Stelos Alliance and oversees the day to day operations. She has spent her twenty-year career providing non-profit clients with the best ROI (return on investment). Her responsibilities included: finding a fulfilling effective sponsorship opportunities, managing extensive marketing and advertising campaigns, managing employees, producing highly profitable fundraising events and writing savvy public relations campaigns, just to name a few. A partial list of clients includes: YMCA of Greater San Antonio, Bexar County Health Collaborative Fit City, The Alamo Bowl, Any Baby Can, Boysville, The Brighton School and For the Love of Kids and Harleys.

Melinda joined forces with Bill Poston in June of 2008 to create the Stelos Alliance. Together they have built Stelos from the ground up starting with receiving their 501(C)(3) status. Today the Alliance awards 20 scholarships annually and has awarded a total of $156,500 in seven years. The very successful Housley Principled Leadership Program has expanded to three university campuses in Texas. We have established a Stelos Fellows Program providing student leaders with real world experiences; our goal is to become the leading organization for student leadership support and education.
